This is the worst university in the UK, according to students

When it comes to university rankings, someone has got to come at the bottom of the pile.

So, with the Whatuni Student Choice Awards naming (but not shaming — they’re too nice for that) their winners this week, we thought it was our duty to let you know who has come in the fairly difficult to achieve last place.

That mantle goes to — and apologies in advance if you’re a student there and this is the first you’ve heard of it — The University of Wales, Trinity Saint David.

Hot on its heels for last place are the University for the Creative Arts, the University of Wolverhampton, the University of Bradford, London Metropolitan and the University of East London.

Better luck next time, guys.

The University of the Year title, meanwhile, was taken by those smuggos at Harper Adams in Shropshire.

There hasn’t been a whole lot of change at the top of the table — whilst Harper Adams took second place last year, 2015’s winner, Loughborough, is runner-up in 2016.

Swansea remains in third place, whilst Bangor and Leeds also have pretty happy students.

The results are based on 25,000 student reviews across 10 categories, and each university receives a score out of five. The university that comes top takes the coveted University of the Year title.

To be fair, the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David (UWTSD Swansea) doesn’t appear to have a terribly low score. We’d be pretty happy with 3.61/5, if we were a university.

You can see the full list here.
